You can visit Sarlat in half-a-day if you wish so. But if you like History and Heritage, you might think it is a bit short. Indeed, Sarlat has plenty of buildings to be visited. Dordogne’s gastronomy in Sarlat’s market

Dordogne is a country of good food where markets are an institution. In Sarlat, a traditionnal market takes place on wednesday and saturday morning. It is the place to taste some of the delicous Dordogne specialities such as ceps, truffles, honey, nuts, duck or wine. In the former Sainte-Marie church, you can also vist the covered market, open everyday except thursday (and even thursday in July and August). If you want organic products, there is also an organic market on thursday evening (4pm to 8 pm).
